Where possible each article written for the Miniature Wargames Magazine is illustrated in colour by Richard Ellis.  

The photography where possible, is related to the article and tries to convey it’s spirit and enhance the readers’ enjoyment and understanding.

Richard began his  career in the Royal Air Force where he saw active service in a number of operational  theatres across the world. On becoming a Civilian he created what became a very successful Commercial Photography business. Always a keen modeller he was introduced to wargaming and subsequently with the Miniature Wargames Magazine were he is now the staff photographer.

Warfare and the study of its strategies and tactics have for centuries fascinated young and old alike. War gaming with model soldiers is also an age old hobby enjoyed by millions of people world wide.

The Miniature Wargames magazine brings together this far flung community of like minded enthusiasts with articles and features of interest to  everyone.
